Robert Pattinson fakes to Be Prince William's BFF

Robert Pattinson has pulled off a few royal ruses in his date.

This existence, the Water for Elephants star, 24, can't go everywhere lacking mass hysteria next him, but Pattinson says he once went so disguised that he used to imagine to be a British royal.

Throughout a Friday form on BBC's The Graham Norton Show, Pattinson recounted his early period as a struggling actor in Los Angeles.

"When I former came to L.A., it was extremely simple to convince public I was a part of the royal family. I hadn't served for three years -- I was jobless in London -- and when citizens asked what I'd been doing, I told public I went to RADA with Prince William," Pattinson said, referring to London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

"Citizens would think, 'You're English, I totally think you!'" he told Norton.

Pattinson's Elephants costar, Reese Witherspoon, also appeared on Friday's Graham Norton Show, but wasn't as balancing about Prince William and his new bride, Catherine.

"I was a tiny hurt I wasn't invited [to the royal wedding], I'm not leaving to lie," fellow newlywed Witherspoon, 35, told Norton with a chuckle. "I had invited her to my marriage. Habitually in America, we respond -- that's how we work. It's rude!" she joked.

Up-and-coming pop star Ellie Goulding scored the gig of a generation when she was asked to sing at Duke William and Duchess Catherine's Friday sunset marriage reception at Buckingham Palace.

"It was a wonderful respect to be asked by Kate and William to achieve at their party," Goulding, 24, told Us Weekly completely on Saturday. "The feeling was unbelievable and it is a night I'll never forget!"

Goulding was supposedly the only singer invited to make at the intimate bash, where just 300 close family and pals of William, 28, and Catherine, 29, partied down. An attendee tells Us that Goulding performed her moving cover of Elton John's "Your Song," plus her more-dance sociable hit "Starry-Eyed."

Goulding was the champion of the BBC Sound of 2010 poll and was awarded the Critics preference Awards at the 2010 BRIT Awards; the royal pair supposedly chose the getting higher star because they were both a lot of fans of her 2010 entrance album, Lights. She is also the planned musical visitor on the May 7 episode of Saturday Night Live, with visitor star Tina Fey.
A different star at the small bash? Man of respect Prince Harry, who toasted his big brother and new sister-in-law with a "brilliant" speech, according to another attendee.

They may be royals, but Prince William and Princess Catherine left Buckingham Palace just approximating any other couple leaving their wedding response -- in a decorated car.

                                                              
Best man Prince Harry, 26, and other family members had decorated it with balloons and flags, and the certify plate read "JUST WED."

But they weren't just like any pair. Security in a Range Rover followed behind, and they were shadowed by a royal helicopter flown by members of William's squadron.

"It was Prince William's plan to drive his new bride away from the official response on their first journey as a wedded pair to his family home," a St. James' Palace presenter told the Belfast Telegraph.

Soccer star David, 35, wore a suit by Ralph Lauren. The celebrity pair headed out from their L.A. home on Wednesday with their sons Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz for the big day.

The athlete wasn't frightened to gush regarding the nuptials in a recent Facebook video message. "It really is wonderful. Our country desires it. Our country wishes it. The British community loves the royal family.'

                                                          

He new: "I was brought up approximately the royal family and around loving the royal family with my granddad, with my nan."

Victoria, meanwhile, has a fan in Kate Middleton, who has requested ceremonial items (not a wedding dress, though!) from her summer collection.
